Here’s a video of the lovely and talented Samantha Farrell performing ”Shoulda Known Better,” the second track from her sophomore album, Luminous. The soulful performance was shot on the streets of Brookline, Massachusetts by Character Nine’s own Christopher DeSanty. Before recording The Sound, we vetted dozens of potential studios in New York and Connecticut in order to find the perfect combination of cost and quality. Our search eventually brought us to GaluminumFoil, a few blocks off the JMZ in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. These were taken at AM Studios on 30th and 8th. There’s this building on that block with dozens of places that offer studio space ranging from $15 to $150 an hour.
